I've been a user and fan of GFI products for some time now, mainly because of GFI's ability to do much of my work for me! Imagine that: a computer working FOR the person at the keyboard! GFI LANguard Network Security Scanner (N.S.S.) specifically, is a tool that does the job of many other brands of software tools combined. In a single effort, GFI LANguard N.S.S. will scan my entire network of systems for vulnerabilities, find missing patches and updates, and then provide me with a way to fix those problems in a way. This process that virtually eliminates an entire day's worth of work, research, and downloading. If you're charging USD65 to USD120 per hour, your clients will thank you for using GFI too!
Have you had problems getting patches to load? Are you tired of constantly dealing with user changes that prevent you from keeping the lid on privacy? Spend some time with the suite of tools GFI offers and you'll be able to tame the "computer entrepreneur”.
As do other patch management tools do, I am able to stay up-to-date, but I surpass that ability by being able to monitor user behavior so I can keep tabs on new software and hardware that might show up. The difference with GFI LANguard N.S.S. when compared to any other tool is having the ability to track down what new vulnerabilities that might result from any changes. That is a HUGE benefit! To be able to see the immediate change in your security posture status all at once! Let's see anything else do that from using a single tool. Let's see any other tool give you the ability to see a complete assessment with only one scan!
Comparing weekly GFI LANguard N.S.S. reports to other monitoring tools is where GFI shines! Using GFI LANguard N.S.S. reporting tools, I can find key factors that might otherwise elude even the most prudent administrator. I can think of no other tool that can integrate so easily to assure give you the self-confidence necessary in maintaining a sound level of network security, and more! If I tried to find other tools that can keep tabs on users, hardware, software, system vulnerabilities, AND allow the administrator to actively watch systems performances all in one place, I would fail. The only thing left for GFI LANguard N.S.S. to replace is the person at the keyboard...but wait, that's me! GFI, don't hurry on that idea!
